Going Green

Today is our 1 year anniversary. Devin and I decided to do something different and go green today. We planted a tree and even got a recycling bin. Lovie seems to like the new tree; she's already "claimed it" a couple of times. And just in case anybody is thinking about buying a tree when you're driving a Toyota Yaris... somehow we did it.

Waiting for dark

So far vacation has been great. We've went some cool places and done some cool things but the best part has been getting to spend time with Devin. The past year that we've been married I've been in school, working over-time, and always on the go. It's been a blessing to be able to sit around and watch a movie without worrying about studying for an exam. I think I've almost got my honey-do list complete. I know these are the days that I'll remember when I'm old. The days where we did absolutely nothing and loved every minute of it. The greatly outnumbered days of nothingness sitting on the deck and waiting for dark. That's living.

I need to mow the grass

If I could only have 2 days in a row without rain, my yard would be dry enough to mow. It's starting to look like I fit in with the neighborhood. Now I can't have that can I? People will start expecting me to have strange aromas coming from my shed at 2AM. And more than that, they'll expect me to have a big enough trash pile in my yard to not need a fence. And so on down the rabbit hole. I'll have to head this one off before it's too late and I have kids swimming in my drainage ditch. Aaaah, suburbia.... the American dream. I really need to mow my grass.
