I Voted

Polls opened at 6AM. I was standing in line at 5:45. The time is now 7:30. I just got home. I realize that it may not seem like it took me that long. But bear in mind that in every previous election day it took me less than 3 minutes to vote. If my experience is any indication of how the rest of the country will look today, we are in for a very very very long day.

Live Lunch

This past Friday we got the opportunity to go to live lunch, a weekly free concert hosted by WFPK radio Louisville. I didn't really know what to expect because I hadn't heard much from the band that was set to play but I was absolutely blown away. The Muckrakers, a Louisville based band, were amazing. The music was great and has quickly become one of my favorites. The setting in the WFPK studio was incredible. Just the band a few feet away from 75 or so people that got there early like us and waited for a bit to get in. I haven't been to many concerts but that was definitely the best. If I can in any way spread the word about the Muckrakers here it is. Their new CD "The Concorde Fallacy" drops this Tuesday. It's their first for a national label and from what I heard Friday, it's going to be fantastic. Go pick it up! You can also watch part of the show that we saw right here.

Glendale's Fall crossing festival

I am super excited to announce that Expressions by Devin will be set up at Glendale's Fall crossing festival.October 18,2008 7am to 5pm. It has over a thousand arts and craft booths.If you want a great parking stop make sure you get there early,The parade starts at 10:00 am. Expressions by Devin will be set up in the True Kentucky shop field. Thanks for all the support and hope to see you there.

A Question Of Inconvenience

I'd really like to know what Joe Lieberman has gained from selling out. How can someone go from being the vice presidential nominee for the Democratic ticket to a cheerleader at the Republican national convention? Perhaps he was offered some share of record windfall profits from the oil companies. It's nice to know that priorities can change so quickly. Al Gore would be ashamed of his pick for the vice presidency.

Expressions By Devin : Update

It is like etsy but the administrator is a little more picky about who gets to have a shop.
